Start with Soft Power

A 7-day reset for women ready to stop bracing and lead from their body.
Start Soft Power

Self-care isn’t indulgent. It’s how you stop the survival cycle.

You might be here because:

  • Rest makes you uneasy

  • You’re the dependable one — even when you’re tired

  • You hold emotional weight without being asked

  • You’re good at coping, but not at receiving

  • Your body never fully powers down

Nothing is wrong with you.
Your nervous system learned early how to adapt.

Who This Is For

This is for you if:

  • You’ve been “the strong one” for as long as you can remember

  • You feel responsible for others’ emotional wellbeing

  • You want self-care that lives in the body, not just the mind

  • You’re ready to begin relating to rest differently

You don’t have to identify as an eldest daughter or as a woman, this is for anyone who learned to hold everything together —
and are ready to stop doing it alone.

What This Is

Soft Power is a gentle, 7-day experience designed to:

  • calm over-functioning nervous systems

  • release the pressure to hold it all together

  • reintroduce rest in ways your body can trust

  • help you feel supported — without explaining yourself

This is not a course.
It’s not about fixing yourself.

It’s about re-patterning safety.

About Me

Hi, I’m Laurie—a Certified Yoga Therapist, yoga teacher trainer, and founder of Hike to Yoga.

I was born in a refugee camp in the Philippines, raised in Los Angeles, and carry the ancestral wisdom of my Chinese-Vietnamese lineage in everything I do.

With over a decade of experience supporting individuals with back pain and burnout, I blend movement, storytelling, and soul care to guide humans home to themselves.

Whether I’m hosting retreats, creating content, or guiding immersive 1:1 sessions, my work is rooted in deep presence, cultural healing, and collective liberation.

My Selfcare As Peace Manifesto

I do not seek peace as a distant dream.

I live it. I guide it. I plant it—in bodies, in breath, in land, and in lineage.

I believe peace begins not with treaties, but with nervous systems.

It begins with the eldest daughter who finally says,

"I am allowed to rest."

It begins with the refugee child—now grown—who hikes into the hills and remembers,

"My ancestors survived. And so will I."

It begins with the woman who rolls out her mat and whispers,

"This body is no longer a battleground."

I build spaces where healing is not a luxury, but a right.

Where the wisdom of the body is sacred.

Where grief, joy, and rage all have a place at the circle.

Where community care replaces silent suffering.

Where ritual and rhythm return us to wholeness.

I do not perform self-care to escape the world.

I practice it to transform the world.

Because when we remember how to breathe,

we remember how to listen.

When we learn to tend to ourselves,

we begin to tend to each other.

And when we walk in nature as kin,

we stop seeing Earth—or each other—as something to conquer.

This is not a retreat.

This is a return.

To truth.

To tenderness.

To the power of presence.

I am not just teaching yoga.

I am restoring peace.

One lineage, one leader, one lifetime at a time.

Testimonials

"The recordings made me realize that I did not feel safe in my body. Laurie's voice is so grounded, you can tell she is living her teachings. I am excited to see her new workbook and teacher training courses!!"

-Steph, 33yo

"I thought I would stop (as I always feel like I fail at self-guided courses) but the simplicity was easy to fit into my schedule. Love that this Soft Power initiation is spread over 7 days and with such short recordings, it was easy to feel the win and continue. "

-Yvette, 39yo

"I found myself relistening to the same audio in the same day so I could remember the ritual and implement it. She didn't mention journaling but I did that and it was very helpful. Acknowledging the survival patterns was painful but I'm glad I did it."

-Betty, 41yo
